Review: Green People Moisturiser and Deodorant

Another part in the journey of entering the world of organic and ethical beauty. I've actually tried a Green People product before, which I liked but didn't like the packaging. I've kept an eye on the brand and was delighted to get an email from them (it was actually for someone else, but I've replaced them in the role, you can see the piece I wrote at the end).

I have two products to talk about today: the Day Solution Moisturiser* and the Natural Deodorant*. And I think they're both great!
I'm going to start with the deodorant because that's the one I was least sure of, which is why I picked it to try out. In my mind organic deodorant wouldn't work as well as 'non-organic' ones. I'm not sure why I thought that, but I did. So I was delighted to find that it worked just as well, and there's been no noticeable staining on my clothes either. It contains Aloe Vera, Prebiotics, Zinc ricinoleate, Chamomile and Sandalwood and is 89% organic. There's also a Rosemary version. The only slight complaint I have is that if I apply it immediately after shaving it really stings, but if I wait 10 minutes or so that doesn't happen. Apart from that it's all good, and the packaging is great too. It's a regular roller-ball. I was expecting it to be some odd cream thing. Apparently I had some weird pre-conceptions about organic deodorant.

Other rave for the moisturiser. It's for all skin types and aims to clear, calm and nourish your skin. Check, check, check. I really enjoy using this, it says day but sometimes I'm a rebel and use it at night and works well for then too. Although it says all skin types you might need something a little heavier at night and in the winter if you have really dry skin. Make-up applies well over it and a little goes a long way. I also love the pump packaging.

I would definitely recommend Green People, even if you don't think you'll like organic products. If there's anything I've learnt in the last few weeks it's that organic beauty is just as good as normal beauty, but better for you and the environment.
